My name is Liam La Guerre, and I am a multimedia journalist currently living in New York City. Raised in Brooklyn, my interest in journalism began as a sports broadcaster at WSJU of St. John’s University in Queens, NY. Since then, I have written crime, sports, business, politics, health and community stories for the student newspaper The Torch, The New York Daily News, The Queens Courier, The Home Reporter and the Brooklyn Spectator. My work has also been published in the Montreal Gazette and the Berkshire Eagle.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. John’s University in May, 2012, with a B.S. in journalism. The next year, I graduated from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism’s M.S. program.
I am interested in Japanese society, culture and business, and I am an avid sports fan who enjoys watching baseball, basketball, American football, tennis, and college basketball among various others.
Currently, I am a beat reporter and sports writer for The Queens Courier in New York City. I cover communities in northeast Queens, which includes Flushing, Bayside, Forest Hills Whitestone, and Fresh Meadows. Please visit Queenscourier.com to read my articles. Thank you for visiting Lfragments, a place to feature my work and posts about my interests.
